Ronald Yeoh is Medical Director and founding partner of Eye & Retina Surgeons, Singapore. He is also on the faculty of Singapore National Eye Centre, where he is a member of the Cataract Subspecialty Group, and an adjunct assistant professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School.

Dr. Yeoh’s interests are in state-of-the-art cataract surgery with the ultimate aim of quality vision at all distances without glasses and the development of surgical techniques and instruments for femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery. As one of the pioneers in phacoemulsification in Singapore, he ran a highly rated basic phaco course, ‘Pearls & Pitfalls in beginning Phacoemulsification’, at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) annual meeting from 2000 to 2012. He has also lectured extensively on advanced technology lens implants and run successful femtophaco courses around the world. In 2012, he was elected to the International Intraocular Implant Club (IIIC).

Among his honors are the Keshmahinder Singh Oration from the Singapore Malaysia annual meeting, the APACRS Lim Lecture, and the Golden Apple award for Best Teacher in the Asia-Pacific from the International Council of Ophthalmology. In 2000, residents at the Singapore National Eye Centre voted him the best teacher.
