Dr. Miyoshi graduated from the Medical Department of Tottori University in 1980. That same year, he took his residency at the Department of Ophthalmology Okayama University. In 1985, he was Chief Ophthalmic Doctor of Innoshima Medical Hospital.

In 1988, Dr. Miyoshi established the Miyoshi Eye Center.

Dr. Miyoshi is now a Clinical Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology Kochi University since 2003 and at the Department of Ophthalmology Hiroshima University since 2004.

Dr. Miyoshi was the overall winner of the 2005 and 2007 ESCRS Video Competition, as well as the Grand Prize winner at the ASCRS Film Festival Awards in 2005 and 2007.
