Yoshihiko Ninomiya, MD, graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo. His major was medical engineering. He then graduated summa cum laude from Osaka University Medical School. Thereafter he completed his fellowship training in anterior segment surgery and surgical retina at Tane Memorial Eye Hospital. He is currently the Vice President and the Director of the Department of Ophthalmology at Yukioka Hospital since 2007, and is a Clinical Professor at Osaka University Medical School since 2016. His special areas of interest include cataract and implant surgery as well as the optics and biometry of the eye.
